Description: Learn how to add beads to your knitted projects in this introduction to the basics. Students begin by threading beads onto the working yarn and exploring how to knit with pre-strung beads. Then practice placing beads around knit stitches using a crochet hook. Beaded i-cord will be discussed. Students leave class with a sample fabric tagged with each technique. Recommended for knitters who have never worked with beads. Students must know how to cast on, knit, purl and bind off.

Techniques covered: Threading beads and four different ways to place beads (wrong side, purl, slip stitch, and crochet hook) on knitting. Time permitting, beaded i-cord will be covered.
