Description: Learn how to knit a top-down, set-in sleeve sweater—in miniature! We will learn this unique, seamless construction, knitting a cute little sweater with one skein of yarn. We will also look at different neckline options—V-neck, crew neck, and notched lapel—and edging options like seed stitch, ribbing, and garter stitch.
- Yarn: 1 skein (approx 200 yds) worsted weight yarn
*Tip: In worsted weight yarn, your sweater will be approximately a 6-month year old size. Choose a finer yarn and smaller needles, and you can make a cute doll sweater!
- Needles: Size US 7 or US 8, circular needle (at least 36”) and double-pointed needles OR second circular needle in same size

Techniques covered: German short rows for shoulder shaping, picking up stitches, neckline shaping options, edging options, buttonholes (student must know long-tail cast on, knitting, purling, and making standard increases/decreases—kfb, k2tog and ssk).
